Thanks to our local computer shop
we are back!
The computer has survived
the modem has not
(It fried in the heat!!!!)
I have so much to catch up on
and it has only been 10 days!
withdrawal was the pits!!!!!!!
NEWS FLASH
they came early to look at the house
so they saw it warts and all!!
they say they are coming back
but do I really want them to?
how mixed up is that
I really, really, really
want to move into something
much smaller and newer
but I love this house with a passion!
The little bedroom, as we call this one,
has pink days as above
or blue days
and it holds a lot of my favourite treasures
The fourth bedroom has two
French pine beds I found at a swap meet
and the desk is early Australian
absolutely useless for anything
other than old fashioned letter writing
Oh dear when I look at these photos it is
really hard to believe that once, I was
a photographic stylist!
Apparently it only works when I am not holding
the camera!!!!
If we move where am I going to put all these things
and how am I going to decide what goes and what stays?!!!!
Goodnight
It is so, so good to have you back with us Julienne. I can understand why you'd have mixed feelings about selling your home. I'm sure that it will all work out in a wonderful way, whatever that way turns out to be x
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Julienne so pleased your computer is back on line and you are back blogging... Go with whatever happens with the house - you only regret the things you didn't do remember! Things will work out. Onwards and upward. XX
ReplyDeleteYAY, you are back:) I have missed you these last 10 days!! I can totally see why you would be in two minds about selling your beautiful home! That little bedroom just won my heart...it just oozes coziness, Julienne. I know that things will work out for you and hey...if you ever need to ship some of that furniture off to a new home...let me know ;) So, so happy you are back dear lady. Hugs ~ Txx
ReplyDeleteHello, hello,so glad to see you again.
ReplyDeleteLetting go is hard, but ultimately rewarding.
One breath at a time.
I'm off to work. 2 more days of love.

i have found that it is often the useless things that are the most charming.
ReplyDeleteand that desk MAKES THE SPACE!!
love you xx
Welcome back Julienne!! These types of decisions are so hard to make, but I know once you do, you will be great and make the best of it!! I can see why you love your home it is so charming. best of luck with what ever you decide,Kathysue
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're back in action Julienne. I'm sorry for your hard-drive. Boy I so know what you mean. I try to remind myself with our house being for sale that when the time is right, we will be leaving. I do love our home too, it is nice to have the space for ones treasures that is until it's time to clean & do yard work. That's all we do is work so it seems. I look forward to the next phase, but only if it works out like we want it to. Don't know what I'll do if we sell but walk away owing only to not be able to make the move to Scotland. My husband will deal with it likely better than I. He's got his career here. I'll be stuck in an apt. in hot, humid, Houston! Keep us posted and I'm thinking all good thoughts for you. I love bedroom #4!

So good to see you back!
ReplyDeleteWe've moved so many times - you'll figure out what's a treasure and what isn't...and you'll have regrets too, but sometimes you'll say 'thank heavens I got rid of that {enter name of piece here} before we moved!'
Jules you will make your new home as beautiful as this!! I may be in the computer shop soon myself!

Dearest Julienne,
ReplyDeleteWell, when time comes you will know how to handle this... Don't worry too much up front! Relax and enjoy day by day. Don't push it.
Lots of love,
